About MDLA

Dual Language program

At Montessori Dual Language Academy, we believe that learning two languages from an early age opens both the mind and the heart. Our Dual Language Program combines the proven Montessori method with daily exposure to both Spanish and English — nurturing bilingual, confident, and culturally aware learners.

How Our Dual Language Program Works

At MDLA, children experience Spanish immersion in the morning and English instruction after 1:30 PM. During the morning work cycle, guides speak exclusively in Spanish — introducing lessons, songs, stories, and conversations in a natural, immersive way. After 1:30 PM, children continue their Montessori exploration in English, building vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills across both languages.

This balanced schedule gives children consistent exposure to both Spanish and English throughout the day, helping them learn to think, understand, and express themselves fluently in two languages.

The Montessori + Dual Language Advantage

Bilingual Development
Children gain fluency in both Spanish and English through daily, meaningful experiences. They develop the ability to move between both languages naturally and with confidence. Research shows that bilingualism enhances memory, focus, and problem-solving — lifelong cognitive benefits that extend far beyond language.

Cultural Awareness
By experiencing two languages and the cultures they represent, children develop a natural appreciation for diversity. They celebrate traditions, songs, and customs from Spanish-speaking countries, learning empathy, respect, and curiosity about the world.

Hands-On, Meaningful Learning
The Montessori approach invites children to learn by doing. In our dual-language environment, this means engaging with lessons and materials in both Spanish and English, connecting language to real experiences — making learning intuitive and joyful.

Cognitive and Social Growth
Montessori and bilingual education both nurture focus, independence, and creativity. Working with peers and guides in two languages strengthens communication, adaptability, and confidence in social settings.

Preparing for the Future
Our Dual Language Montessori Program equips children not only with strong academic foundations but also with empathy and cultural awareness — essential skills for today’s global society.

A Foundation for Lifelong Success

At MDLA, we celebrate the beauty of language and the power of connection. Our Dual Language Program nurtures independence, empathy, and a love of learning that will serve each child for life — in any language, and in any part of the world.
